History and Establishment

CSI was established to create a unified platform for civil service officers, promoting collaboration, professional development, and service integration. Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, on May 3, 2013, and operational since December 2013, CSI has been instrumental in fostering administrative excellence. The institute provides a range of facilities, including catering services, a residential complex, indoor sports amenities, a multipurpose auditorium, a conference/seminar hall, and a 25-meter swimming pool with a steam bath. These facilities are designed to support professional growth, knowledge exchange, and officer well-being, making CSI a premier institution for administrative training and engagement.

Initial Leadership

The inaugural team of CSI comprised:

  • Promote Welfare & Integration: Foster cooperation among civil service officers to build a unified, collaborative force for effective governance.

  • Publications: Publish journals, periodicals, and manuals to keep officers updated on advancements in civil administration.
  • Skill Development & Knowledge Exchange: Promote modern administrative skills and facilitate knowledge sharing across various civil service fields.
  • Library & Information Services: Establish libraries and information centers to support global studies in civil administration.
  • Residential Facilities: Provide no-profit, no-loss residential accommodations for members and invited participants.
  • Infrastructure Development: Establish clubs, institutes, hostels, canteens, and libraries across Uttarakhand for member use.
  • Property Acquisition: Acquire movable or immovable property necessary for the association’s objectives.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Form alliances with institutions, companies, or public authorities to advance the association’s goals.
  • Employee Benefits: Provide salaries, allowances, and benefits to staff members of the association.
  • Fundraising: Seek contributions, subscriptions, and donations to support the association’s activities.
  • Support Other Associations: Establish and assist other associations with similar goals.
  • Non-Profit Focus: All income and properties are solely for the promotion of the society’s objectives, with no profit distributed to members.
