General Information

  • Spouses, dependent children and parents of the spouses and parents of the members will be eligible to avail the benefits of CSI.
  • Eligibility of Children as Dependent Members: - A son or daughter of a member will be treated as a dependent member till he/she attains the age of 21 years, after which his/her membership will be subject to ruling by the Governing Board, as per the regulations laid down for CSI. Dependent membership will be coterminous with the parent’s membership.
  • Family Card: - All spouses and eligible dependent children above the age of 14 years along with the parents of the spouses and members will be issued Family card by the Institute. This card shall be produced, whenever requested by the Institute staff.
  • Grant of membership: -
    • Membership of the Institute will be granted to eligible officers by the Governing Board (GB) in accordance to the list notified by CSI.
    • Membership cannot be claimed as a matter of right and is solely at the discretion of the GB. A waiting list will be prepared of all the officers desiring to join CSI.
    • Members eligible for permanent membership will have priority over other members.
  • Termination of membership: -
    • Voluntary resignation of any member.
    • On his/her becoming insane or insolvent.
    • On death of the member.
    • On non-payment of membership fee for a period of six months, the case would be put up to the Governing Board (GB) for termination whose decision shall be final.
    • On violating the rules of society.
    • On being penalized by a criminal court subject to decision of GB.
    • In any other event/reason as decided by GB.
  • Suspension of Membership: -
    • The Secretary shall submit to the Governing Board the name of any member who refuses or neglects to pay any liabilities due to the club within the timeframe as decided by Governing Board after a formal notice/demand through registered post has been sent to the member. The GB shall thereafter decide whether to terminate or suspend the membership and its decision shall be final.
    • It shall be the responsibility of every member to abide by the rules and regulations laid down by the GB.
